He served as Executive Director at the National Information Technology Center, Government of Nepal, and also as head of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering. He is an advisory member of the National Information Technology Committee, Government of Nepal. He has delivered over 30 Keynotes and invited speeches at international conferences and workshops. Ankit R. Patel is a transport researcher and is currently associated with the University of Minho, Portugal. His scholarly contributions span intelligent transportation systems, human factors, human-centered design, and smart cities. He has participated in numerous prestigious international conferences, chairing technical sessions at major ACM (CHI, OzCHI, NordiCHI, INTERACT, IMX, AutomotiveUI, MuC, COMPASS, GROUP, and India HCI), IEEE (ITEC, JRC, ECCE, MELECON, LOGISTIQUA, WF-PST, GTSNZ, SeFeT, AFRICON, e-Science, and RTSI), Design Research Society (LXD), and IFAC (CTS) events.
